Angie Bernard, New Hope liason and coordinator for the "Sharing our Pantry" program reports on the Thanksgiving Day meal that New Hope members served at the Morningside Park Senior Apartments in Jessup:
32 residents served in the dining hall, 6 residents received plates at their doors, 19 people from New Hope either helped cook at the church or serve at Morningside Park (8 of which were youth or younger), 9 people from New Hope donated pies, cakes or cookies
There was more than enough food for everyone and all of the residents took plates of food with them if they wanted. The residents very much enjoyed the food. Our youth did most of the serving, and socialized with the seniors. Everyone worked together to allow us to serve ON TIME and we were cleaned up and finished before 3:00 p.m. Our volunteers all worked together for God's glory!!
