Hi All,
Thanks for all of your help last summer with our Sharing Our Pantry food deliveries to senior citizens at Morningside Park Apartments in Jessup, Maryland. We are again going to have the pleasure of sorting, bagging and delivering groceries this summer on June 13th, July 18th, and August 22nd.
This Sabbath, June 13th, we will sort, bag and deliver groceries after first service. We do not have the multipurpose room, so we will be doing the sorting and bagging upstairs in the youth room, using the elevators to carry down bags. (Eeek!!) I may see if we can get another room that gives us easier access to cars outside. We should have plenty of food available, and most of the groceries for the diabetics already sorted.
Please let me know if you are available right after delivery for a potluck picnic. (Delivering food to others always makes us hungry!) I will identify a local park, with a gazebo/shelter, that we can use for fellowship. If the weather does not cooperate, we can have potluck at my house. I will send out a map and info later this week to tell you our potluck location.
